This happens to me a lot. Where I have an idea, it's gorgeous and amazing, yet I'm not quite at the level where I can place my idea fully on paper. I can do a crude sketch of it...but it's not as vibrant, or detailed or alive as I see it in my head! -_-

Find something similar and learn from it as you copy the bits you need.

Sometimes that works...but it's hard when one piece of work is made on the computer and you're trying to make it on paper...it's just hard to get those generated gradients... :P

I've been trying, but sometimes it's a pride issue that I didn't get it on the first try... :P unrealistic expectations!

I sometimes wonder what it would be like to be able to be able to think of an image and have it drawn for me but I wouldn't trust any technology that could access my thoughts. There's the invasion of privacy, the possibility of the system crashing, the possibility of outside parties writing directly to your brain, etc.

this is the bane of EVERY artist. ...and also the joy: transferring an image from our mind to reality.
we all have varying levels of success and failure.
the only thing we can do is...

practice, practice, practice.

learn from life, examine everything around you.

keep drawing!
