I'm a busy person. Which means I have to pretty much schedule time with my roommates, friends and family…but I've recently been finding that I need to schedule time for me too. Not just to rest, but to do things that will help me be myself, recharge if you will. I've recently begun keeping a journal, my roommates have been too, and we all have been finding that it has helped in overall aspects. To me, it helps my mind to calm down, and I feel less stressed after getting my thoughts out on paper…and now I'm rambling… :P

I find a journal helps me keep perspective on my mood. It reminds me how far I've gone, and it helps kick me out of going "Yesterday was alright, but today is horrible. I failed myself." for a month straight.

i don't know what it is about writing down your thoughts, but I always feel better afterward, even if it is one of those days where I hate myself and the world...I sort of consciously make sure that after my vent I write something positive so that when I'm ready to write again the next day an upward swing is already in place. :)
