I really don't like spiders…but I don't like even more is the sound of them being squished. Weather I hear it out loud or in my head, I just can't handle that 'sound'. So I've enough courage to catch them and just transport them outside. It's not because I like them…I just have a slightly bigger problem then them existing.

I don't like to use any footwear to kill bugs/insects. I would rather use something that I can use to throw it away with. Like an old newspaper or paper towels. Or a vacuum if I'm lucky enough to get it before it runs away.

My first instinct is to call for help and let them deal with it...but I've had to find out how to deal with them when I'm by myself...but your methods have crossed my mind a few times...

Ha! I can totally relate to this. I am not terrified of spiders, but I feel so guilty killing bugs. Except for mosquitos. I hate them.

Mosquitos bite more often then spiders do, but for some reason I'm not bothered by them as much…there's not really a lot of mosquitos where I live though… And the guilt is a real thing! It's not it's fault it found itself inside a dwelling!

I hate that feeling of killing spiders too. I used to use cheap hairspray to kill them and then sweep away the bodies. It can make a bit of a mess, but unless it was on carpet, it usually cleaned up pretty easily.

I'm not as afraid of spiders anymore, so if they don't touch me, I don't throw them outside, which I usually do by getting them to walk on a piece of paper and carrying them out. If it's the type of spider that just chills in its web, eats bugs, and stays out of my way, then we have no problems.
